FALL 2021 ENGLISH LANGUAGE PLACEMENT EXAM (ELPE)
The English Language Placement Exam (ELPE) for graduate students is required of all incoming international students whose first language is other than English. The 2021 ELPE will be adminitered in early summer 2021 (date pending). For new international graduate students entering in Fall 2021, information will be sent to you by email.

If you are a current UCSB student but have missed the ELPE, contact the EMS placement administrator: EMSplacement@linguistics.ucsb.edu.
